Company Background & History

BMA Software "Business Management that's Amazing"  was established by Dana Solutions, LLC for the purpose of offering small to mid-sized distributors an "Extraordinary Business Management Package". We have supported our customer's business needs by providing business operations, accounting software and support, networking products and services, consulting services, and project management services.

Originally the company that developed the software used to be resellers for several Sage products such as Mas90, Mas500 and Accpac.  Being frustrated with Sage and their lack of ability to have a clear focus on the distribution, there was no alternative but to create a package that not only focused solely on distribution, but didn’t hold customer’s hostage by charging them with mandatory updates every year.  Therefore in 1998 a concept of building a new software program specifically for this industry was born.  In 2003, BMA Software™ was established as a wholesale distribution package built specifically for the small to mid-size distribution and supported by a company that understands that distributor and the particular challenges that her or she faces every day.

This true Windows™ package was built from the ground up not rewritten from a character-based platform.  Thus BMA customers have the benefit of fresh ideas rather than warmed over functions from older character-based programs.  With over 17 years experience that includes working for Fortune 500 companies. BMA Software™ and developed which offers its customers an amazingly feature-rich distribution software. BMA gives the small distributor the functionality and control that usually only large companies enjoy. This is a serious commitment on the BMA management staff. To keep up with the changing industry, the management staff is committed to providing our customers with four (4) comprehensive updates every year. These updates are included with support.

The management staff of BMA feels it is about time for the smaller distributor to take advantage of the technology of today! Building a program on a sophisticated relational database and using true Windows™ technology while researching the real needs of the smaller distributor. Our company is surprised as it seems that others haven't taken this approach. When you see what other software options are available to the smaller distributor, very few offer Windows™ technology. Furthermore, even fewer offer ALL the modules needed to completely run a business, like job costing, payroll, forms writing, rental, repair, rebates, credit card processing, E-commerce, Fixed Assets, bar-coding, and UPS/FedEx manifest.

Deciding to do something is one thing, accomplishing it is another. Our company offers a package for the smaller distributor with all the tools he used to enjoy while working for a large corporation whose sales exceeded a billion dollars. BMA Software™ offers these major advantages:

  • Not be dependent upon recurring revenues derived from software “add-on” sales and customer consulting fees. These fees should be included with support.
  • Not create a system that is so difficult to learn, where many months of training are necessary with each system order.
  • Be determined to run this business differently.  We have created a firm that enables us to give the Wholesaler Distributor a feature rich, inventory-centric software program.  Additionally, it is priced and delivered in a fashion that is attractive to the small to mid-sized business owner.
  • Be determined to have a delivery model (sales, training and support) that is less costly than that of our competitors so we can offer a lower cost of ownership to you.
